The objective of Affinity Insurance Ltd.’s (Affinity) risk control resources is to provide members with claims and loss prevention services to help ensure a financially successful captive program.
Loss Control Consultant
Each member is provided with allocation funds for use in working with a loss control consultant. The role of the consultant is to partner with each particular member, engaging in proactive and preventative loss control services.
Members have access to the latest technology and resources in managing claims. Partnership with Affinity’s third-party claims administrator includes special handling instructions, defined service expectations, online claims management systems, etc.
Risk Control Workshops
Affinity's insurance program offers members two semi-annual Risk Control Workshops with a focus towards claims and risk control issues. These events are typically held in May and October; each workshop agenda is unique and the sessions are customized to meet member needs.
Affinity members are invited to participate in monthly webinars, at no additional cost. Webinars are offered at 10am and 3pm (Central) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, with presentations limited to no more than 60 minutes.
Affinity members are provided the opportunity to subscribe to a web-based safety, health, and wellness resource system. The service offers members access to an abundance of tools, from safety training to employment practices.
The Affinity Member Portal allows members to access information such as annual reports, board meeting information, member forum discussions, webinar recordings, risk control information, etc.
Affinity members are afforded the opportunity to use the medical triage services of Medcor, at no additional cost. Medcor is a 24/7 phone service for use following a work-related injury, providing immediate guidance from a nurse for the most appropriate medical treatment.
